(2) The supplemental sticker clearly and conspicuously discloses the (MSRP) manufacturer’s suggested retail price.
(3) The supplemental sticker lists each item that is not included in the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, and discloses the additional price of each item. I was concerned when the salesperson offered me 50% off booth space, and even more suspicious after he offered me 50% off on attendees tickets. But it was an excuse to travel to Texas and see family too, so I took a chance.
Then as the show date approached there was the Hurricane in Houston and Irma on the way to Florida…But I went anyway.
It was a bust, 30 or so booths, and maybe 50 dealer attendees. Of course it was the storm, and the fact that it was the first year for this event, but it’ll be my last. Most booths at the show were catering to Used Vehicle lots and Buy-Here Pay-Here dealerships and not our primary customer, the Franchise Dealership.
PS: When my brother and I got to the show they didn’t even check our badges and were letting people in for free.
I flew to Dallas this morning to attend The Marketplace Master Dealership Sales Conference and Expo. Got there at 10:00am and they were still getting set up. Seems a bit small, but I’ll know more tomorrow when its in full swing. Stay tuned for updates, I’ll post again tomorrow afternoon with my thoughts.
I would like to welcome the following dealers to the growing family of innovative dealerships who are saving time and money using DealerAddendums software to Create-Manage-Print their dealership’s new vehicle addendums.
